Report on the 2015 Homecoming Gathering in Hong Kong
We had a wonderful time in HK with 15,000 other believers worshipping God and seeing restoration and healing between peoples and generations. God is doing something amazing!
At the same time, I believe God is showing us a new “wineskin” of what church can and should be; not just core-values for meetings of hundreds or thousands, but for our own lives, our homes, our small groups and our regular church gatherings. Let’s pray and ask God what the “new wineskin” is for us to host His presence within our community of believers.
We will hold tonights meeting as planned: The typhoon is passing and it should be calm tonight so we will have our meeting as planned.
Friday July 17th, Harvest Training Special Event: “Hosting His Presence” Meetings In these days, we feel an urgency to prepare our hearts for what God is about to do in Japan. We believe that we are called to host His Presence at all times and in all places. He has told us to build an altar of worship, both individually and corporately, as well as to pray. More specifically, our prayers are for the body of Christ to receive an impartation of the Father’s heart, an understanding of the authority we carry in Christ, to be activated for ministry, and to be equipped to walk in their Kingdom destiny and purpose.
And so, if you too carry this sense of urgency, please come and join us for an evening in His Presence together. In the context of worship and prophetic declaration, we will share what we believe the Lord is calling us all into at this time. Come hungry! Come with expectation!
Access by car: Car park available, but if it is full then please use the Nishinomiya City Hall parking lot; Access by train: 7 minutes walk east from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station 7 minutes walk to the southwest from JR Nishinomiya

Training Centre Vision!
We have felt God calling us to start a Training Centre/ Apostolic Centre here in Nishinomiya. We don’t have a building just yet, but we are in the beginning stages of planning a 12-week Missionary Training Course for this September, to give English-speaking missionaries who have a long-term vision for ministry in Japan a foundation in both standing strong spiritually while ministering in Japan as well as practical aspects of language learning and understanding the culture. The course will also cover many practical issues of how to begin discipling Japanese with a view for planting house churches. Contact us if you or anyone you know is interested.
Workers for the Harvest in Japan! As we get closer to the great harvest that God is preparing for Japan, we’re looking for those to partner with us to develop resources and materials for discipleship. Specifically we’re looking for: • iPhone and Android app developers • Translators (Eng & Japanese) for bilingual communications and the creation of discipleship content. Please let us know if you’re interested!
“A message to non-church-going Japanese Christians”
There are from 800,000 to 2 million Japanese believers that don’t go to church! Of course, there are many reasons for this: some work on Sundays and many see themselves as Christians but don’t particularly feel the need. However, this encouragement message is particularly for those who are wounded by past church experiences or those who are afraid of the religious obligations related to becoming a regular church member. Check it out here, and pass it on to your Japanese friends:
We also have many other short teaching videos and blog posts on the theme “Theology Refresher”; the response from Japanese believers has been great. Check out our YouTube channel here and the articles in Japanese on the Onfire homepage and pass them on to your Japanese friends.
If you’re not Japanese but praying for Japan and the Japanese believers, please pray for a revelation and shift in core values in the church as God reveals His life-giving love to the church and prepares Japan for harvest! Thank-you that you’re partnering with us for a harvest in this great nation.
